Zelensky Reportedly to Request More Assistance Wednesday

Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Schumer have announced that tomorrow morning, Zelensky has been scheduled to deliver a digital address to Congress. The Speaker has said members are "thrilled."

This follows Congress approving over $13 billion in aid last week. WSJ reports that the Ukrainian President is seeking even more assistance.

The news is especially noteworthy as Congress is responsible for declaring war and the rhetoric on the situation has increasingly felt like it had a background hum of war drums building.

Later this week, Representatives are to vote on legislation meant to revoke trade relations with Moscow.

Like much of the sanctions thus far, the White House had originally opposed the act.
