Study: Leaded Gas Reduced IQ of Millions of Americans

While it should be noted right off the bat that leaded gasoline for automobiles has been phased out across the world, a recent study has given an interesting bit of information about one of the repercussions that spawned from the now defunct practice.

The study, published on Monday, which looked at exposure and impact of leaded gasoline in development of Americans, suggests that 90% of children born between 1950 and 1981 had blood-lead levels higher than the CDC threshold, resulting in a 2.6-point drop in IQ.
